Top of the range luxury double spa bath, wood fireplace for cozy winter retreats, split system reverse-cycle air-conditioned to keep you cool in summer. The comfortable air-conditioned lounge has a real wood fire (firewood provided during winter), flat screen television, DVD player, stereo system and a selection of books, games, CDs and DVDs for your enjoyment.

The first thing you’ll notice when you arrive at Hillcrest is the panoramic view to Mt Warning, which can be clearly seen (weather permitting) from your queen-sized bedroom. From your large ensuite bathroom, you can delight in the view of the rainforests of the Springbrook Ranges.

Stepping onto your private verandah, take in the views to the rainforests and mountains of Springbrook and the Cougal Mountains that form the border between New South Wales and Queensland.

Enter your private retreat and enjoy the fully equipped kitchen complete with full-size gas stove, microwave oven, fridge, cutlery, crockery, pans and anything else we can think of that you might need during your Northern Rivers escape.

At Hillcrest Cottage we give our guests the option of catering completely for themselves, although we do provide standard breakfast provisions, including our home-grown free range eggs and a loaf of our famous home-made bread on the night of your arrival.

As an optional extra, guests can order our full Brunch Basket, including home-made bread delivered fresh daily, smoked salmon, bacon, sausages, waffles, pancake mix and more. You may also choose to come to the main house and be served our full country style breakfast in the dining room (please let us know in advance).

Your large ensuite bathroom with spa has a range of toiletries, candles and a hair-dryer.

If you have decided on a winter spa getaway then we’ll have the real wood fire going so your cottage is nice and cosy when you arrive – just let us know your approximate time of arrival.

For those mornings when you need instant heat, the reverse-cycle air conditioning unit gives you warmth at the push of a button and there’s a heater in the ensuite bathroom so you can relax in your top of the range luxury double spa bath for as long as you like.

Hillcrest Cottage is located close to five world heritage listed National Parks, including Mt Warning, the spot where the dawn sun first touches the east coast of Australia.

Golf, horse riding, scenic joy flights, arts and crafts markets, galleries and more are on offer in the region. We have tourist information onsite and will gladly help you plan the best things to see and do during your stay in the stunning Tweed Coast and Valley hinterland – or you may choose to just kick back and enjoy a massage in the comfort of our your own secluded Cottage.
